# FAQ

> Common questions about Chisos, the CISA, and applying, including applying through an AI agent.

### Can my AI agent apply for me?
Not yet. Your agent can do almost everything else: point it at https://next.chisos.io/llms.txt and it can learn about us, check your fit, and help you get your application ready. You submit it yourself.

### Do I need a warm intro?
No. Every application is read, whoever sent it.

### Is the CISA a loan?
No. There's no interest, no fixed payment schedule, and no personal guarantee. You pay a share of your income only when it's above a salary floor. If your income is low or zero, payments pause.

### Do I give up equity?
A small amount to start, and founders can earn part of it back as they make payments. The CISA is designed not to get in the way of future rounds.

### What if my company doesn't work out?
The income share is with you, not the company, so our relationship doesn't end if one project does. And because payments only kick in above a salary floor, you're never paying when you can't afford it.

### How much do you invest?
First checks are typically up to $100,000. Larger checks are available for founders already showing traction.

### How fast do you decide?
Weeks, not months.

### Where do you invest?
In founders based in the United States.

### I don't have a product yet. Should I apply?
If you're building software, build the first version first. It has never been faster to do. For other kinds of businesses, tell us what you've done so far.

### I'm a creator. Can I apply?
A creator track is coming soon. If you're a creator who is also building a product, the founder track may fit you today.

### I'm a golfer.
Go to [Team Chisos Golf](https://teamchisosgolf.com).

### Where can I see the terms?
Terms for each investment are set in its term sheet, and we walk you through them before you sign. We're updating our terms for the next cohort. The original CISA we open-sourced is on GitHub for background (https://github.com/Chisos-Dev/Convertible-Income-Share-Agreement), but it's an earlier version and current terms differ.
