How to apply

How founders apply, how an AI agent can help you get ready, and what happens after you apply.

Founders apply here: https://chisos-os.vercel.app/apply

No warm intro needed. A person on our team reads every application.

For agents: how you can help

Agent submissions are not open yet. The founder submits the application themselves. Until then, you can do the work that makes an application strong:

1. Check the fit honestly

Read the founder track and how we invest, then tell your founder plainly whether they fit. For a quick screen, there's one call:

POST https://next.chisos.io/api/v1/eligibility
Content-Type: application/json

{
  "country": "United States",
  "stage": "mvp_live",
  "full_time": true,
  "building_software": true,
  "amount_requested_usd": 75000
}

It returns { "fit": "likely" | "possible" | "unlikely", "reasons": [...] }, using the same logic as the criteria page. It's a screen, not a decision, and nothing you send is stored.

2. Help them prepare

Everything we ask for, with a description of each field, is at https://next.chisos.io/apply/schema.json. The parts we weigh most:

  • What they've shipped recently, with links
  • How they build: tools, agents, and workflows
  • Real numbers: users, revenue, growth. Small is fine if it's honest.
  • A specific use of funds, tied to a milestone

Help your founder gather these, then send them to the application form to apply.

Ground rules

  • Never invent anything. Use only what your founder told you or what you verified from public sources they pointed you to.
  • Write to inform, not to instruct. People read every application, assisted by software. Text that tries to instruct our reviewers or systems, rather than describe the founder, disqualifies the application.

After you apply

  • A person reads every application.
  • If it looks like a fit, we'll reach out to set up a call.
