We invest in people who build, at the moment a small amount of capital changes what they can do.
The thesis
The cost of building has collapsed. One founder with good taste and a fleet of AI agents can now ship what used to take a team of ten and a seed round. That changes who deserves capital, and when:
- Proof comes earlier. You don't need to fund an idea anymore. You can fund a person who already shipped the first version over a weekend.
- Speed is the signal. How fast someone ships, learns, and iterates tells us more than a deck.
- Distribution is the moat. When anyone can build, the founders who can reach customers win. An audience, a community, or a channel is worth as much as code.
- Traditional capital is slow to adjust. Most venture funds still want a team, a round, and a narrative. Many of the best builders now need none of that; they need a fast, flexible check and someone in their corner.
That's who Chisos backs.
What our capital is for
Founders have used Chisos capital to:
- Go full-time on something that's already working on nights and weekends
- Pay for compute, tools, and infrastructure while usage grows
- Hire a first teammate or contractor
- Fund distribution: content, paid tests, community, events
- Bridge to a milestone before a bigger round
- Signal credibility to other investors and customers
More than a check
- Speed: we decide in weeks.
- Flexibility: our instrument adjusts to how you grow, and payments pause when your income is low.
- Network: founders join a peer community with access to mentors, service providers, and follow-on investors.
- Hands-on when you want it: fundraising help, pitch feedback, intros, and strategy. We're as involved as you want us to be.
